Deka Technologies creates affordable site-to-site replication
application using Linksys NSS6000 network attached
storage devices.
Deka Technologies has created a site-to-site replication
solution for multi-site small and mid-sized
businesses. This solution will allow all data from
one site to be replicated over a high speed data
connection to another site and stored on a NSS4000
or NSS6000 network attached storage device from
Linksys so all of a client’s data will be in two
places at one time. This provides small and
mid-sized businesses with Continuous data Protection
and Disaster Recovery at a very affordable price.
Organizations that do not have multiple locations or
that do no have multiple locations that are
geographically dispersed may choose to have all
their data replicated to one of Deka’s data centers
located in Alpharetta, GA or Houston, Tx. The price
for the Deka Hosted Services starts at 35.00 per
user or 100.00 per server per month.

backing up to tape, sometimes the backups do not
occur, or someone forgets the tapes, or the backup
process is not designed correctly for the business.
This new replication solution allows organizations
to store all of their data in at least two locations
and if something unforeseen were to happen they can
get their data in seconds as opposed to days, weeks
or worst yet never” said Travis.
In addition to this new replication solution, Deka offers a
hosted backup service that allows users to backup
critical data to an offsite server located in one of
Deka’s data centers. This differs from the
replication service in that replication is an
encrypted copy of the client’s data and the backup
solution is a proprietary compressed file based on
older technologies.
